•M.J. Abadie and Claudia Bader, LOVE PLANETS, *

(New York NY: Simon and Schuster / Fireside Books, 1990) 334p TPB

Explains the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and the Ascendant in detail (and has ephemeris tables for them), but not the other Planets. Gives a clear and interesting explanation of astrology basics and the Signs, and how they relate to each other. This is really a book on romance and relationships, but would be a fine introduction to astrology.

An excellent introduction and reference book regarding the Moon, including phases, transits, "emotional weather" and much more. Includes Moon Tables to 1999 so you can just look up your Moon Sign. Easy to read, interesting, and gives good advice

A very thorough little astrology reference book you can carry in a purse and study in spare moments. Not just another pop Sun Sign book, it has a pretty "professional" attitude. Good for any beginner, worth a read by any astrology student.

But something you need to understand about yourself, and understand about the other eleven Sun Signs. Anything by Liz Greene is excellent, including her "Mythical Tarot" book.
