Paphos
International Sailing Club, or PISC, was formed in 1998 by a
group of sailing enthusiasts to provide a centre for common
interest and mutual assistance. The purpose of the club is to
help and encourage all types of sailing or boating activities.
It is not a requirement to own a boat but of course many of our
170 or so members do own a wide variety of sailing and motor
boats. While members are mainly expatriates we do have and
				welcome Cypriot members.

				 We have
our own clubhouse situated in the Geroskipou Boat Park and we
regularly meet every Friday lunchtime and Tuesday evenings for a
some cold beers and a nice dinner.

Additionally we organise many varied social activities outside
of the clubhouse, usually in and around the Paphos area. These
vary from beach BBQs to posh frock dinner/dances in local
Hotels. Visiting yacht crews and sailors from overseas are
always welcome and can use the club for the duration of their
stay on island. Our members have a detailed knowledge about
operating yachts of all sizes in and around Cyprus and are
always willing to share that knowledge.

				 During
the course of 2008 we started to assemble a small fleet of
sailing dinghies which are often seen on the water in and around
the Coral Bay area on Saturdays. During the course of 2009/2010
we will use them  to participate in various sailing regattas
				around Cyprus.

				 Once a
year, we organise a hugely successful overseas rally from Cyprus
to the surrounding Islands and area. This event gets bigger,
better and longer each year and is usually fully booked an
				entire year in advance!

				 Full
details of all our planned events together with where we are and
how to become a member are here.
If you think you might be interested in becoming a member,
download the directions off the website and pop in any Friday
				lunchtime.
